operatinginstructionsonpage6.Donotopenlidwhilecooking.Whenthecookingis
completed,theCOOKbuttonwillpopupandthemainburnerwillautomaticallyshut
off.Donotservethericeyet;seeinstructionsonthefollowingpageforcuring.Thepilot
keepscookedricehot(about160˚F/71˚C)forfourhours.

SEASONINGTHERICEPOT
AnewRicePotshouldbecarefullyseasonedoncebeforeuse.WashriceintheRicePotusingtapwa-
ter.Removetherice,leavingonlythe“milky”lookingwaterinthepot.Lightthepilotandinitiatethe
cookingprocess.Usingordinarywaterforseasoningthepotmaycausediscolorationbutwillnoteffect
eithertheunitorcookedrice.
VISUALBURNERCHECK
Whenoperating,burnerameshouldbelightblueincolorandshouldhavenoyellowtipsorlifting
fromtheburner.Theair/gasmixtureadjustedbymovingtheairshutterarmundertheunitbelowthe
maingasvalve.
